Kirk L. Crews, MD  - Family Physician

Kirk was raised in the Bitterroot Valley, graduated from Florence-Carlton High School and studied biology and chemistry at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  He then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine. Kirk completed his internship and family medicine specialty training at the Montana Family Medicine Residency program in Billings, Montana, where he served as Co-Chief Resident.

In 1999, Kirk returned home to the Bitterroot Valley and has practiced here for his entire career. He has also served as a Hospice Medical Director, seven years on the board of the Montana Academy of Family Physicians, including a term as President of that organization.

Kirk has been committed to the health of the Bitterroot Valley in many ways. He was an integral part of establishing the Bitterroot Classic Triathlon and served as director.  He also volunteered for many years at the Stevensville Annual Milk Run. Kirk enjoys bike riding, racing, triathlons and outdoor adventures of all kinds. He has coached many sports over the years including wrestling and basketball.

It is Kirk’s belief that recreation represents the pinnacle of health.  When we are physically healthy, mentally resilient, and emotionally supported, we are in the best position to enjoy our health.  “What better place to do that than the magical place that is Montana”. Kirk’s goal, at StoryBrook Medicine, is to help people enjoy the best physical and emotional health possible.
